Maryland
Wear & Carry Training

Part II OF THE ASSURED SHOT MARYLAND
WEAR & CARRY TRAINING PATHWAY

Includes Utah-Certified Firearms Familiarity Training

Program Overview

The Maryland Wear & Carry Training Program is designed for responsible firearm owners who are ready to advance their knowledge, skills, and understanding of concealed carry. This program combines classroom instruction, legal education, practical application, and live-fire qualification to prepare students for the responsibilities of lawful concealed carry.

Building upon the foundation established in the Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL) Training Program, this advanced training program prepares students to safely, responsibly, and legally carry a handgun for personal protection while emphasizing sound judgment, situational awareness, and responsible decision-making.

At Assured Shot Training & Safety, we believe that carrying a firearm is more than obtaining a permit—it's accepting the responsibility to protect yourself and others through knowledge, discipline, and continuous learning. Our mission is to develop knowledgeable and responsible armed citizens by building the assurance that comes through professional firearms education.

As part of their training experience, students will receive:

  • Utah-certified training documentation

Please Note: Utah requires nonresident applicants who reside in a state that recognizes the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit or has reciprocity with Utah to obtain and submit a copy of their qualifying home-state concealed carry permit before applying for the Utah permit.

Live-Fire Qualification

This Training Program includes the live-fire qualification required as part of Maryland's initial Wear & Carry firearms safety training requirements. Students must demonstrate firearm safety and proficiency and achieve the minimum qualifying score established by the Maryland State Police.

The Assured Shot Difference

At Assured Shot Training & Safety, we believe firearms training is about far more than meeting a legal requirement or earning a permit.

Our purpose is to develop knowledgeable, confident, and responsible armed citizens through professional firearms education that extends well beyond minimum state requirements.

Every Training Program is intentionally designed to build lasting knowledge, practical skills, and sound judgment that students can rely on for years to come.

A permit provides legal authorization to carry a firearm subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and restrictions, but it is your education, judgment, and commitment to responsibility that prepare you to carry with confidence.

Our commitment is simple:

To help every student become safer, more capable, more confident, and more responsible than when they first walked through our doors.

Building Knowledge.
Inspiring Confidence.
Cultivating Responsibility.
